LJ --> DW Moving FAQ

This FAQ is specifically for questions regarding the move from Livejournal to Dreamwidth. Please comment with your question, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can with an answer.

Q: My request to join the Dreamwidth communities was rejected! How come?
A: We really need everyone to read this post and comment there before joining the communities. If you haven't done that yet, your request(s) will be rejected.

Q: But I already filled it out and my request was still rejected?
A: That would be the result of operator error on our parts - please make another join request, and we'll add you asap!

Q: I posted my application/canon update/reserve to the Livejournal communities. Do I have to move them?
A: Not at all - we'll be keeping an eye on both LJ and DW for this upcoming app round, but we DO request that all NEW applications, canon updates, and reserves be made on the Dreamwidth communities.

Q: Are we required to do AC this month?
A: Nope! Between the dive in motivation to post and tag on Livejournal and the chaos of moving, we're not holding anyone to meet AC this month. We'll put up a big announcement in the OOC Community when we're ready to start AC again once we're settled in on Dreamwidth and the game gets back to business as usual.

Yo! Is it all right to make character changes which will carry on for the duration of time spend in-game?

e.g., 51-year-old Fujimoto on LJ, 34-year-old (flashback version) Fujimoto on DW--or will that sort of thing need to be app'ed and approved first?

Instead of totally re-apping, a canon update will be fine.

Almost similar to above with a question about Canon Updates. I put one in two days ago to take advantage of the move so it's still on LJ and from what I can see it hasn't moved to the DW page yet.. Should I expect a response to it on LJ or should I post it in the DW/wait?

I was wondering if there was a specific reason my journal got rejected from joining the dreamwidth comm?

Oops...they appear to have defaulted at locked. I've changed the settings, so everyone should be able to write their own tags now! Sorry about that! D:

Will we be having official activity checks during the move? I'm a little discombobulated with the move since I don't know if my activity should be at LJ or at DW. I see people in both so I'm like "where do I gooooo @_@"

There won't be any AC checks for the month of January, but for anything else, we will be checking both comms for the duration of the move.
