Because of the company's budgeting nature, a lot of allowance is given to marketing and advertisement, ensuring strong branding and a steady flow of clientele from big corporations on The Thor.
Reasoning: It was already established on livejournal. ICly, it was opened with Naruto who wanted to make as much money as possible to rebuild their world (Konoha). It's also a cover to gather resources in preparation for any problems that the refugees might face, such as the purists. Having lived and served through 2-3 wars during his lifetime, he sees this involvement as a duty. Additionally, a causal effect of resource gathering would include creating strong relationships with the other refugee-run businesses and hopefully the refugees themselves!
Funds: Naruto and Kakashi both took multiple missions every month since they arrived on the ship. They began with a modest office and the nature of their company and skillset required very few employees and relatively little investment in capital. Additionally, for the months that KARMA was making negative profit, Kakashi was taking additional missions to supplement for the losses.

Expected income: ummm....it WILL be CEO at some point, but to start off with I imagine he'll be earning somewhat decent/college degree as it'll take some time to build up his client base, and his income is likely to fluctuate depending on what kind of information he's selling/who's buying/how much business he's getting at any given time.
Reasoning: He was in an info broker at home, he does this shit for fun, he figures he may as well be earning some money from it.
Funds: Funding isn't necessary seeing as to begin with he'll be doing all the work himself and doesn't need a premises to work from, though it's possible he'll buy office space at some point and he'll most likely be looking to employ at least two representatives (so he cn stay anon) and maybe a secretary. He'd also probably pay people (low prices) for info they give him but for the most part he should be able to access/discover it himself, but this wont happen until he's been in business for a bit. He is currently working college degree jobs (though mainly when someone signs him up for them) as well as earning somewhat decent wage from his permanent job as financial planner for Preventer (as well as already selling intel to Preventer on the side), so he is not particularly lacking in funds for when he DOES need them.

Funds: Saved money from Sept '10 to Oct '11, occasionally worked two jobs in a month, and earned extra money from winning at other casinos.

Expected income: MILLIONS. Lemina has unreasonable expectations. Probably more like Somewhat Decent, since a large portion of all profits made (especially from item sales and the like) will be re-invested back into the Guild. May creep up to College Degree or even CEO if it grows the way Lemina hopes it will.
Reasoning: The Magic Guild was, in Lemina's canon, the largest and most prestigious magical organization in the world... emphasis on was. Being the heiress to the Guild, Lemina made it her mission to revive it. From the point in canon she's taken from, she's learned a lot about what the purpose of the Guild is and what it should become, and is ready to begin working on it anew. Thus, letting her actually take a crack at running it only seems appropriate!
Funds: Ridiculous donation from Sakamoto in Shinpachi's name, funds earned by Lemina herself from working and saving.

Reasoning: It's actually an inherited establishment and not a proper new one. When Surge was wormholed, he left the task of running the gym to the remaining Pokemon cast. So far all of them seem pretty interested in holding up their end of the bargain; this is just making things official on the paperwork.
Funds: The gym itself was inherited from Lt. Surge, who left some extra money to the Pokecast upon leaving the Thor with the stipulation that he'd really rather see it go to the gym. So there's that; any additional contributions will have to come either through donations or out of the Pokecasts' pockets.

Reasoning: Both Sakura Haruno and Dr. John H. Watson, the original founders of the clinic, have left the Thor (HOWEVER Watson is BACK now and will likely be offered a full time position by Mordin 8U). Having more than enough experience with running clinics (and considering he spends 80% of his time there anyway), Mordin pretty much took it upon himself to keep the place operational. Because he's a nice guy that way.
Funds: To quote the original clinic post: "Gathered from a Date Auction and a Dinner/Dance Charity Ball held on ship. Donations in total came to 149,820 credits." Prior to this repost, there's been a second fund raiser. Iiiiii don't recall how much it raised though.

Expected income: Somewhat decent wage, most early profits will go to paying for more equipment. Depending on how popular the place becomes it may climb up to college degree, but not likely past that.
Reasoning: In the books, Kim was at a point where she was being very contemplative. She hated her job and even considered going back to school. Here…she’s about the same. But she has been going to classes and taking some business courses. She’s worked in retail, noticeably the video rental store, but she demonstrates a taste for good coffee, usually going for the café, leading me to believe she’s worked in a coffee shop before. The gaming lounge comes from her being an old school gamer and the whole book being mainly video game-centric.

Expected income: It's a church. 8| All the money they get goes to maintaining the place and donations to the poor.
Reasoning: Une wants PR. Nill wants a church. Since Une has the money and it seems like a chance to do some good for the community, she's investing in Nill's dream. 8)
Funds: Preventer's recent profit from selling their freeze-dried food from the R&D lab to people down on several planets.

Reasoning: Gil likes wine. No, he LOVES wine. Even better, he doesn't mind sharing his own. Ancient Sumeria has a well founded tradition on having the best and most influential alcohol in the ancient world. Unlike barley used to make beer, grapes and other fruits had to be imported into Sumeria, making grape/fruit wine a drink only for those who were rich, or in Gil's case, a king. To suit the tastes of these upper classes while working with such a limited amount of material, the wine had to be super fantastic tasting. Indeed, one of the world's first 'ambrosia's was Sumerian wine.

Needless to say, wine is more than a hobby to Gil and would love to have people try out and compliment the stuff his people made.
Funds: One of Gil's powers is to always have more money than he'll ever need. So funds aren't even an issue.

Reasoning: Germany inherited the restaurant Class Act from Italy, who inherited it from Maraich - its original owner. While Italy was still in the game Germany kept the restaurant running as its mostly behind-the-scenes manager while Italy and Canada did most of the customer service. It was a fairly successful establishment specializing in Italian cuisine. Germany has been using some of the back area for quite a while now as a miniature brewery, and selling the beer he's made on tap as part of the restaurant business. With Italy gone and Germany left to take care of the clientele personally...he pretty quickly re-purposed the restaurant into something better suited to his own talents (because customer service is NOT his strong point). As BEER and all things related to the brewing thereof is one of his talents, that's what the establishment is now focused on.
Funds: Previous income from the establishment's time as the restaurant "Class Act". Germany took a good deal of the profit made off the restaurant and put it right back into the place. In addition to that there are also Germany's own personal savings, which have increased steadily in his past year on the Thor.

He also would like to see the Duel Monsters game to take off here, and developing the holograms for it is the easiest way to encourage it.
Funds: He's been sacrificing a lot of comfort to get this off the ground, so he's got some savings. He's also been doing some side work, like working with Preventer and running side businesses.

Since it has a four year customer base, it's expected that while this may suffer somewhat with a change of ownership, it'll still remain a pretty high figure in terms of profit. Since the goal of the bar is to provide a private atmosphere where it's clientele can relax or indulge in some shady talk and Kal has no intentions of changing that, it can be expected income will remain steady.
Funds: Kal's been at CEO wage for a long time and doesn't need to do much with the place save for some renovations that- since they are now keyed into his magic and willpower, don't cost any money. So it's expected Lux's profits will cover its own costs and everything will go in a neat circle.

Expected income: It will be CEO level with work, probably start out at Somewhat Decent level and progress to College level pretty quickly because Tony has a knack for business like that. It'll take a bit to get really going, but after four or five months he should have it established.
Reasoning: Business is one of Tony's strong points. He was a CEO of his own company before, and with Pepper around, it's natural for him to want to pick up running his own business again.
Funds: He's been saving up capital from working missions as well as working jobs on the side and for Une's business while she employed him. And look! College wage mission work! :)
